Image Metadata (EXIF) Editor Guide and Tips
The Image Metadata (EXIF) Editor is a privacy protection tool that allows you to modify or completely clean metadata information hidden in the photo file header, such as location coordinates (GPS), shooting date/time, and shooting device manufacturer/model.
Precautions for Use
- Supported format restrictions: The photo's metadata (EXIF) structure is basically optimized for JPG/JPEG formats. Some image file formats such as PNG and WebP may lack an EXIF structure or have different specifications, limiting editing capabilities.
- Static original protection: Completed edited images are saved as new copies via the browser, and do not directly destroy or modify the existing original files stored on the user's local drive.
Key Features
- 100% Local Offline Operation: Uploaded image files are converted and packaged directly in your web browser without being sent to an external server via the network, eliminating the risk of personal photo leaks.
- EXIF Information Free Editing: You can freely create, enter, and remove camera model name, shooting device information (Make, Model), shooting time, and GPS decimal coordinates.
- Batch processing of multiple photos: You can upload multiple images simultaneously, remove the information all at once, and easily compress and download them as a ZIP package.
How to Use
- Drag and drop or select photo image files (JPG, JPEG, PNG, etc.) for which you want to edit or erase metadata to the workspace to load them.
- Modify the camera manufacturer, camera name, shooting date, and GPS coordinates of the selected image in the list to the desired values, and then click 'Modify & Save Current EXIF'.
- If you want to remove all location/spec tags at once to prevent Internet leakage, click 'Batch Remove All EXIFs' to download them in batch.
